I ordered new rain boots for Lucas and Logan Saturday, and they already shipped!!! I can’t wait for them to get here.

Last year I picked Lucas up a pair of Western Chief “Firechief” rain boots at a thrift store and then he when he outgrew them it was a nightmare. He was heartbroken. He actually cried when I got rid of them. I told him I would find him a new pair, but when I started looking, none of the stores around here carry the Western Chief brand. I ended up getting him a pair of plane jane rubber boots, and while they served the purpose, they just weren’t the same.

Well, he’s had the boring ones for almost a year, and he’s about worn them out, so I’m going to throw them away. Even though he didn’t love them, he still wasn’t happy when I mentioned it, so I told him I’d order him a pair like he used to have. Problem solved!

Saturday morning I sat down and googled for Western Chief and right off the bat found their website, but they didn’t have the exact “Firechief” boots that Lucas had. They did have some with a Maltese Cross, so he said they’d work and I searched around to find the best price on them.

I ended up finding them on Amazon, but as I was getting ready to place the order he came and asked if I’d get him new cowboy boots too. Eek! $30 for rain boots AND a pair cowboy boots? Oh, crap! I finally convinced him to get a cheaper pair of rain boots and a pair of cowboy boots. He’s not as in love with the “Firechief” ones I ordered as he was “FDUSA” ones that we had picked out, but since I’m taking him this week to pick out cowboy boots, he’s pretty darn tickled. I haven’t told him that they’d already shipped, so he won’t be asking every day if they’ve arrived yet lol.

Now Logan lives in his Crocs. The child won’t wear anything else. Period. But when Lucas came and asked for cowboy boots, Logan did too. I was in complete shock! Logan actually WANTED a different type of shoe? Of course I’m going to say yes. Then I remembered that I’d saw a pair of rain boots that looked like cowboy boots and thought that it couldn’t have been more perfect! He’ll have his cowboy boots AND his feet will stay dry. He’s not big enough to really know the difference or need “real” cowboy boots, so he’s going to be thrilled when they arrive.

I can’t believe there can be so much drama over ordering a simple pair of rain boots lol! Hopefully Wednesday when I take Wyatt and Lucas for their cowboy boots things will be drama free and go 100% smoothly! Hopefully lol.
