“When it’s a byrd, or a plain and able to leap the good graces of grammar, I’ll be there to correct it, as well as fight against villains bent on ‘word’ domination.” ~WordGirl, definition dynamo and caped crusader (a.k.a. Becky Botsford, mild-mannered fifth grader…shhh!)

Premiere Episode “Oh, Holiday Cheese” The Botsford’s kick off the holiday festivities with a cheese party. With lots of cheese and sing-a-longs, the party is a huge success until Dr. Two Brains shows up with his cheese-swiping ray. Can WordGirl save the party and get Dr. Two Brains into the holiday spirit? Vocabulary Words: Curmudgeon, Festivity
“Ch-ch-change Day” Everyone is bringing their loose change to the bank to convert it into savings. What will happen when the Butcher locks Becky and Bob in the vault? Will the city’s police officers be able to stop him when WordGirl can’t come to the rescue? Vocabulary Words: Quandary, Fidget

Logan’s Thoughts:
I like WordGirl. Monkeies say ooh ooh ahh ahh.
Lucas’s Thoughts:
It was cool. I liked how there were so many new words. Festivity means a party. They were having a cheese party and had cheese ornaments for the tree, that was cool.
Cassie’s Thoughts:
I liked it. I learned new words, that I kinda knew, but didn’t know what meant. When they were stuck in the cheese Bob would eat the cheese so they could win the battle.
Wyatt’s Thoughts:
I liked it because of Bob the monkey. He eats everything that the butcher throws at him, even cheese. I also liked learning new words, like fidget. Fidget means you move a lot and are nervous.
Coming December 28th, the Monday after Christmas, is another great new episode of WordGirl…
