This is just a whole lot of my ramblings crammed into one post…
Last night I finished up all of the 2007 fire reports! I wanted to be done before the board meeting in June, but I decided it was better to jump in and get them all done before the kids are out of school for Summer vacation, that way I can spend more time playing and less on the computer!
We rode Sheeba again Wednesday. I still never have put a saddle or bridle on her, but she doesn’t care for anyone to be up there bareback.
Shelby has only been on a horse 3 times at the most, so she was very nervous, but she agreed to get on so I was proud of her! While I was on her Colby handed Logan to me and he sat there for maybe 30 seconds before he’d had enough and wanted down.
Our garden isn’t doing very well. We’ve just had too much rain. The zucchini seem to be doing better than anything else. The corn started off great, then just stopped growing, and the tomato plants are about the same. The cucumbers and peppers never even grew, so we replanted the cucumbers and are trying again. Then, yesterday Dad drove through it, I’m guessing he just forgot it was there, but nonetheless I’m pretty sure a couple of each plants won’t make it.
They’re having the memorial for Ashley & Brandon’s baby today, but I’m not going to be able to go because Colby is working and has the truck. My heart breaks for them, and I feel bad for missing the memorial.
Logan’s hamster, Paco, died yesterday and I’m not telling him. I cleaned the cage and am going to replace it next week. Until then I plan on telling him Paco is sleeping and we can’t play with him. Maybe that makes me a horrible mother, but when we lost Kitty Kitty last year he was heartbroken and I don’t want to put him through that again. I’m worried I won’t be able to find another black and white hamster so I asked Colby if he thought Logan was young enough believe that Paco was magic and changed colors. He thought Iwas joking and didn’t answer me. The other kids laughed at me, so I guess that’s a no from them.
We’re going to put up a privacy fence because last night Crazy Neighbor Guy and a bunch of his friends sat on his front porch and smoked pot half the night. NOT what I want my kids to be seeing. Plus it will keep that stupid boxer of his from coming into our yard. Colby called a few minutes ago and said he had the stuff loaded on the truck for it and would drop it off when the rain lets up, and we’re going to work on it tomorrow and Monday while he’s off work.
I already have reviews and giveaways coming in for my Summer Fun week that I’ll be running from June 29th through July 3rd, so I’m super excited and can’t wait until I’m able to share more about it!
