6 things that never fail to make you smile:

1. Showering alone. It’s so nice when I get 10 minutes with no children trying to open the shower curtain or coming in the bathroom needing mommy to help them with something, which doesn’t happen often.
2. Watching my children when they think no one is. Like when Shelby is in her room listening to her mp3 player and singing along or when Cassie is dancing her way down the hallway. I like to see them, just being themselves. No arguing, no trying to out-do each other, just being the person that makes them happy.
3. The record feature on our DirectTv box. Well, okay, I like that I can record a show regardless of what time or day it comes on and watch it when it’s convenient for me, and can fast forward through the commercials. Every time I push the record button I smile!
4. Wyatt writing a new story. Shelby is my book worm, but occasionally Wyatt will go off to his room for a few hours and write, just to be writing, and he always brings me is works to share and I love how creative he is!
5. When Lucas falls asleep somewhere other than the bed. Okay, so maybe that’s a little mean of me, but I can’t help but smile when I see him hanging half out of the chair, curled up under the kitchen table, or sleeping with his head propped up on his hands. He tries so hard to be a “big boy” and claim he’s not tired, and on weekends he always tries to stay up as long as the big kids do to prove he’s as big as they are, but in reality, he’s not lol.
   
6. When Colby brings me home a soda.  It’s such a small thing, but it shows me that he was thinking about me before he come home, and how could that not make me smile?
