Friday Wyatt had his child psychologist appointment. She said he shows some signs of ADHD, and we have an appointment for a second evaluation next month with another doctor. Then we’ll go from there. We also agreed to have someone come to the house to talk with him about ways to deal with his anger and behavior, and this person will make sure his needs are being met at school next year.

I was standing at the office window making his next appointment when Wyatt asked if he could take Logan on out and put him in his carseat. I told him that was okay, and gave him the keys, thinking everything was fine because Bobby’s truck was parked straight in front of the office doors. I made sure to tell him to let Logan walk and hold his hand so he wouldn’t risk dropping him. I got the appointment card and turned around to see Logan standing in the seat and Wyatt trying to get the door open.

I muttered “Oh he better not have locked his brother in that truck!” and the receptionist kinda chuckled, I’m sure she thought I was kidding. I went outside and that’s exactly what Wyatt had done! I had Logan come to the window and try to unlock the doors, but Wyatt had put the keys in the ignition so the door handle wouldn’t override the lock, and Logan wasn’t strong enough to push the actual unlock button. After about 10 minutes he was starting to get upset and so was I so I called Colby and had him call a tow truck to come pop the lock.

It only took them 15 minutes or so for them to arrive, but by then Logan was completely hysterical and sobbing so hard. The receptionist felt almost as bad as I did and kept coming out to check on him. Then, when the man finally got the door open I couldn’t keep myself together any longer and held him and cried as hard as he was. I’m so thankful that he was only locked in for about half an hour and it wasn’t extremely hot!!!

Fortunately Logan wasn’t traumatized and was ready to go for another ride 10 minutes after we got home lol. Kids recover from things so fast!

A couple of weeks ago Tim and Esther told me they had a car that only needed the alternator fixed on it, and they didn’t want to sell it, but if we’d fix the alternator I could drive it. Colby fixed it yesterday and I have transportation again. The kids are so excited and can’t wait to start going to the park and to visit grandma again! I’m excited because for the last 9 months I haven’t even been able to run to the grocery store when we needed something, it sucks to have to ask someone else to use their vehicle and watch the kids or have someone else go pick up the things you need! I’ll be eternally grateful to Tim and Esther for this!

My mom had a heart attack this morning. She’s 47. She said last night she started having pains in her chest, but ignored them, she & James were playing cards with their friends and she was hurting pretty bad so she told him she was going to the house, but before she made it in from the garage she collapsed in the yard. She called him with her cell phone and he rushed her to the hospital, then in the wee hours of the morning she had a heart attack. She flat lined, they shocked her and brought her back, then got her stable enough to air lift to St. Louis.

She’s doing pretty okay now, no pain, she’s not even needing the oxygen to keep her levels up, and in the morning they’re going to do an angioplasty to see how much damage has been done and what they need to do next.
