Silk Heart Health Review & Giveaway

Strength in Every Pour

Silk Heart Health is a new soymilk product that combines the heart-health benefits of soy protein and plant sterols. Both have been proven to help reduce the risk of cholesterol and heart disease.

A recent study found that people who enjoyed three servings of Silk Heart Health per day for four weeks, as part of a sensible diet, lowered their cholesterol by 7%.

When I was offered the Silk Heart Health to review I was curious, and even though I was weary I accepted it. My grandma is lactose intolerant so she drinks Silk Soy Milk and Shelby has drank it at her house before so I figured it really couldn’t be too bad, I just didn’t know what to expect. Well, then Walmart wouldn’t accept the coupon I was sent, and I was completely aggravated and thought maybe it was a sign that I shouldn’t try it. But, they had already bagged it and it was in my cart with all my other groceries, so I paid for it and left.

I stuck it in the refrigerator and really didn’t give it a second thought. Then Kyle was here, and let me tell you that kid can eat! I’ll never get why teenage boys are always hungry lol. Anyway, he opened the fridge and asked what it was and I told him it was milk, just drink it. Nothing wrong with making him the first test dummy, right? So he poured a glass and started to take a drink, but stopped when it got near his mouth and asked “What’s wrong with it?” I told him nothing, it was just soy milk, to drink it.

He said it smelled funny, but drank it anyway. He said it wasn’t bad, so then all the kids were willing to taste, and since I was out of regular milk they actually drank it with supper. At that point I figured I better give in and try it myself, or I wouldn’t be able to do the review from my point of view, because they’d finish it off lol. So I fixed me a glass and held my nose because it really doesn’t smell good at all, and took me a big ole’ gulp.

Surprisingly it wasn’t bad at all. I really think it tastes like melted McDonald’s ice cream! You know when you’ve ate your sundae and there is that little bit of melted ice cream in the bottom of the cup, so you drink it… that’s what Silk Heart Health tastes like! Maybe it’s the vanilla flavor, I don’t know, but it was pretty okay. And Logan absolutely loved it and drank most of the gallon. Which shocked the heck out of me because he’s SO picky, and I’ve started buying regular Soy Milk (not Heart Health) for him.
