The past couple of days Logan hasn’t been felling well. Off and on he’s had a mystery fever with no other symptoms. When the fever is gone he seems to feel great, and plays with the other kids, but when the Tylenol starts wearing off he’s miserable and cling, but he only needs the Tylenol once or twice a day.

When he’s feeling icky, all he wants to do is snuggle and play computer games and it’s gotten to the point that I’ve moved my rocking chair to the desk so we can sit in it. I spent 3 hours this afternoon like this…

At least my rocking chair is comfy and Plants vs. Zombies is only played with the mouse, otherwise I might go insane!

What baffles me is that it isn’t the first time he’s done this. It first happened in June 2007 and I rushed him to the doctor because we had a trip out of town planned, and I was afraid he’d get really sick while we were gone, but they couldn’t find anything other than the fever and wrote it up as he was probably teething. It’s happened 4 or 5 times since then, and they always say “it’s something viral” or “just his teeth”. And it’s always just a fever, nothing else.

Well, I can’t imagine it being viral because there are no other symptoms, and he’ll be 3 in December, so surely he’s not teething is he? I feel silly for not knowing what could be going on, especially since he’s baby number 5, but each one has been so different that I’ve basically had to learn everything all over, and he likes to be the one to take us into uncharted territory (with his falls, stitches, asthma, etc).

I guess I’ll give it another day, then take him to the doctor if he’s still icky. Though they’ll probably give me no answers, as usual. *sigh*
