MONDAY, JULY 19 – FRIDAY, JULY 23: On PBS KIDS GO!

A 2010 Emmy Award nominee, WordGirl airs Monday – Friday on PBS KIDS GO! (Check local listings.)

There’s A New Villain In Town – Weeklong Programming Event!
WordGirl is set to beat the heat and a new villain with a weeklong programming event! Two never before seen episodes follow Becky as she tries to defeat a villainous show host. Later on in the week, Amazing Rope Guy, Dr. Two Brains and Chuck the Evil Sandwich-Making Guy make their appearances!

Monday, July 19
“QUIZ SHOW”
Mrs. Botsford is a contestant on Seymour Smooth’s new show “Win a Shiny New Car.” When Becky realizes the other contestants are cheating for Smooth, she has to save her Mom from being tricked again. Can Becky help her mom win the challenge and defeat Seymour Smooth?

“THE PEOPLE VS. MS. QUESTION”
When WordGirl puts Ms. Question on the stand, she confuses District Attorney Botsford so much that she forgets why she became a lawyer. WordGirl has to help her mom return to her quest for justice and stop Ms. Questions’ tirade of inquiries.

Tuesday, July 20
“OH WHAT A TANGLED KNOT YOU TIE, AMAZING ROPE GUY”
As a villain, the Amazing Rope Guy is not so amazing. He discovers that his true talent is mimicking others. When he goes on a crime spree impersonating all of the villains of the city WordGirl must find a way to end his career as an imposter.

“KIDS ACTION NEWS”
This just in: Becky, Scoops, and Violet won a chance to host Kids Action News at Noon. While covering a story of the largest grilled cheese sandwich, WordGirl swoops in to stop Chuck and Dr. Two Brains from snagging the sandwich. WordGirl and Captain Huggy Face team up again to save the sandwich, the city, and the news hour.

SATURDAY, JULY 10: On Qubo 24/7
SUNDAY, JULY 11: On Qubo 24/7

Turbo Dogs is the award-winning 3-D animated series featuring a group of canine friends from Racerville. Each episode is action-packed with non-stop antics, emphasizing friendship, fair play and teamwork that provide kids with “rules for the road”. Airs on the Qubo programming block (ION TV Wednesday-Friday, NBC and Telemundo Saturday mornings in Spanish, and the Qubo 24/7 channel Saturdays and Sundays. Check local listings.) Turbo Dogs was awarded a KIDS FIRST! Endorsement by the Coalition for Quality’s Children Media.

“LUCKY CHARM”
GT inherits a statue from his grandfather and becomes convinced that it is a lucky charm and is responsible for his great racing. Strut gets wind of this and decided to ‘borrow’ a little luck and steal the charm. GT is VERY upset, convinced his recent great driving is all due to the power of the lucky charm. He gradually figures out that his winning streak is due to hard work and skill. GT doesn’t need the charm to win – he just needs a little faith in himself!

“SPEAK UP”
Dash is given the honor of announcing the play-by-play at the upcoming ‘Just For Fun’ Race, but it turns out he’s terrified of speaking in public. His Turbo Dog friends try to help him, giving him advice that would work for them, but clearly doesn’t work for Dash. Dressing up, doing voice exercises, telling jokes, having signature moves, etc. Dash ends up looking and feeling quite silly. He learns that he just has to be himself. Once he figures this out, Dash’s play-by-play is just as fun as the ‘Just For Fun’ Race itself.

THURSDAY, JULY 15 ON PBS KIDS GO!

Lively and colorful, this series chronicles the adventures, and misadventures, of 10 year-old siblings Maya & Miguel Santos, with their family and friends in a richly diverse neighborhood. This award-winning series airs Monday-Friday on PBS stations nationwide (Check local listings.)

“LA NUEVA COCINITA”
While Maya and Miguel are searching with their Abuela Elena for treasures through her seemingly bottomless trunk of memories, they happen upon an old menu from her defunct restaurant “La Cocinita.” She rhapsodizes dreamily about the menu – summoning magical, Marquez-like concoctions that can cure an ill-tempered grouch. After a walk around the neighborhood, they see grumpiness and general disharmony everywhere, and Maya quickly decides that not only Abuela Elena, but the whole neighborhood is in need of a New Cocinita to bring happiness and harmony to everyone with the magic of the old recipes. Enlisting her friends to be the kitchen and wait staff, Maya prepares for the big opening night over Miguel’s steady stream of protests and warnings. Of course, Maya and her crew soon get in over their heads…

WEDNESDAY, JULY 28: ON PBS KIDS

Follow Clifford and his owner, Emily Elizabeth, as they help friends on everyday adventures that teach life lessons through Clifford’s Big Ideas. An award-winning, top-rated series on PBS KIDS (Check local listings.)

“CLIFFORD GROWS UP”
Be Kind – The Howards do their best to make Clifford comfortable after he’s grown too big for their city apartment. They finally move to Birdwell Island, because making Clifford happy is so very important to them.

“JETTA’S SWEATER”
Be honest – Jetta inadvertently gives Emily Elizabeth a sweater that was a gift from her grandma. When she realizes her mistake, she resorts to all kinds of tricks to get it back. But in the end she realizes that just being honest would have made everything a whole lot easier.
