Just a friendly reminder to send in your census survey and remind your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to do the same! The form only asks 10 questions and takes less than 5 minutes to complete. And if you don’t send it back, Census workers will make a visit to your household to take a count in person.

Why is the census important?

  • Census data directly affect how more than $300 billion per year in federal and state funding is allocated to communities for neighborhood improvements, public health, education, transportation and much more.
  • Mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the census is also used to apportion seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and to redistrict state legislatures.
  • Census data are used to define legislature districts, school district assignment areas and other important functional areas of government.

I just got mine in the mail 2 days ago and quickly filled it out. I completely agree with you, the Census is important and it only comes around every 10 years so there really isn’t any excise to do it. Thanks for caring the video, I thought it was funny :)

We got ours, completed it, and sent it back. They have really simplified the form. I guess I’m a nerd, I’m excited to see what the data shows as far as population changes in my state, per age, race, etc.
