About Tropical Traditions 100% natural Coconut Flakes:
Tropical Traditions 100% natural Coconut Flakes are made from organic dried coconuts in the Philippines that are grown with no fertilizers or pesticides. This premium dried coconut contains no additives or preservatives, and is not sweetened. Unlike most dried coconut on the market, our dried coconut products are not treated with sulfites to keep them white. They are a great addition to recipes and baking, or just for snacks!

My Thoughts:
A couple weeks ago I received a pail of Organic Dried Coconut Flakes from Tropical Traditions and it made my kids’ day! It was too hot to bake anything, but the insisted I opened them up so they could snack on them. I was a little worried about using them in my Oh So Yummy Cookies because they’re not moist like the flakes I buy at the grocery store, and I was afraid that would make the cookies taste different, but it’s been proven that I had nothing to worry about lol.
I’ve made two double batches of them in the last 10 days (without the nuts), and there isn’t a single one left! I know the recipe says Do Not Double, but I did anyway
and I’m glad because everyone LOVES them so much! Back in February when I made them everyone said they were good, but the batch sat on the table for 4 or 5 days before i finished them off myself, so they must not have been that good.
Tropical Traditions also has a page full of recipes that I can’t wait to start trying!!!
From a frugal mom’s point of view: I really like the fact that Tropical Traditions sells the Organic Dried Coconut Flakes in a gallon pail and the price can’t be beat! A gallon is only usually $14.00 and it’s actually on sale until August 1th for $7.00, which is awesome!!! I usually pay $2.50 for a SMALL bag at the grocery store, so having coconut anything was a special treat, but now that I’ve found Tropical Traditions that is not going to be the case anymore!
