Friday night a lightning strike wiped out our telephone lines and I couldn’t call the telephone company to fix it until this morning. I decided I needed to find a hobby that I could do sitting in front of the television because there was no internet to entertain me. I’d seen some wire wrapped rings on etsy before and thought they were really neat and since I’ve already been making the wire wrapped pendants I thought I’d give the rings a shot. I don’t have a ring mandrel so I went and found a variety of sized round objects to use and went to the hardware store to pick up some picture hanging wire. I bought 22 and 24 gauge and after 30+ rings I think I might be brave enough to order some silver wire, and definitely a mandrel! For now I’m pretty pleased with what I’ve learned…

Two of my favorites…

I’d love to see a tutorial on this!
I’ve never worked with wire like this; but, I recently learned to make beaded bracelets.
I have large wrists and fingers; so, I can’t just go to a craft fair or store and find something that fits.
