Don’t waste your time!
I just read an article on the NY Times website that said…
The hottest toy this holiday season is not a ticklish red monster. It’s a fake hamster. Known as Zhu Zhu Pets, the artificial rodents have some advantages over the real thing.
Now I’m sitting here in utter disbelief! My kids have been playing with Zhu Zhu pets since September and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they don’t live up to the hype! Sure, the actual hamsters are cute and the noises they make are adorable, but the sets are JUNK! Yes, I said it… JUNK. Complete crap. The plastic they’re made from is cheap and flimsy and they don’t hold up well.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why a complete set is selling for $200 and up on eBay!!!
Seriously, what are people thinking?! It’s a craze, a fad, and they’re going to spend a fortune on Zhu Zhu Pets knowing good and well that next Christmas it’s going to be something new and do it all over again.
Plus, all they are doing by buying them is telling toy companies that they can make crappy products and get away with it! Argh!

Just the very reason only to pay retail for this stuff.
When Toysrus opens at 6am on black friday, people will be lining up at 5:00am or much earlier to get a zhuzhupet, for me is not worth it, however i will get it from Amazon.com at retail price.
