I’m terrified!!! Today I started buying the things Wyatt needs for his week long Boy Scout camp.

He leaves this Sunday!

And will be gone a whole week!

I’ve never been away from him that long. He’s nervous too, but he’s really looking forward to it, and it looks like he’ll get to bunk with his buddy from a neighboring troop. I haven’t told him that part because he’s really been hoping it would work out that way and we won’t know for certain until they get to camp. I’d hate for him to be disappointed if it doesn’t happen!

He signed up for all kinds of fun activities, like swimming and woodworking and leather working and fishing, and the more he talks about it, the more excited he gets!

Can you please tell me it’s going to be okay?! I mean, I already know in my mind it is, but letting go is so dang hard!!! And it’s not fair that Colby gets to go down Tuesday and supervise the troop while their leader has to leave for a bit. Something tells me I’ll be marking down the days until Thursday night’s Family Night…
