I posted on February 3rd that my guinea pig had babies, then never posted again… oops! There ended up being 3 boys and 1 girl and we decided to keep them all. They’re now 7 weeks old and I cannot believe how fast they grew!!!

It’s funny how they recognize words like a dog would. I can walk into the livingroom and say “Wyatt pig, do you want a carrot?” and she’ll run to the side of her cage and squeal and look up at me.

Each one has their own individual personality, just like the kids. Pumpkin is the most social, she loves people, and loves to be held. Annabelle has always been the biggest of the babies, and he’s the most friendly and loveable of the males. Suzie, on the other hand, doesn’t like to be touched, he really doesn’t like people period, and he hides when anyone looks in their cage. When we got outside he rarely ventures very far from me, usually he stays right against the side of my leg when I sit down. Blackie is the explorer of the bunch, he climbs all over his house and wanders farther than I like when we’re outside. He’s also the most vocal of the males.

They’re a lot to take care of, but they’re also a lot of fun and the kids love them!
