Justus Foods, Inc. is a Food Manufacturing company that is making “Freeze-dried” Fruits under the “Today’s Farm” brand. Rusty Justus started Justus Foods, Inc. in April 2006 after many years working in the food industry. Justus Foods is making 4 varieties of freeze-dried fruits in single-serving packages about the size of a regular bag of potato chips at this time. The products are packed in a foil “pillow-style” bag that has an extended shelf-life of at least 18 months.

My Thoughts:
I had absolutely no idea what to expect with “freeze-dried” fruit. We eat fresh fruit, and occasionally dehydrated fruit, but that’s nothing like freeze-dried. Heck, I’m not sure I even understood what freeze-drying was, but I liked the concept of it being 100% healthy so I figured I’d give ‘em a try.

So we were BBQing one night and I came in the house to get a bag of chips to take out for everyone to snack on and I noticed the Today’s Farm Freeze-dried Fruit sitting on my desk as I walk by. I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try them, so on my way back by I grabbed them, left the chips and headed back out the door.

Now, I didn’t say anything to my family, I just sat down and opened the bag and tried them. Almost instantly the kids spotted the bag and came over, but when the reached in and pulled out a freeze-dried strawberry they weren’t thrilled, after all, they were expecting chips lol. But I convinced them to try them, which was my mistake because they took off with the bag and didn’t share with me. *sigh* Kids!

They scarfed down the bag of strawberries, then went inside and got the peaches to snack on while waiting on supper. I love when I find a product that they like AND it’s healthy! Lucas swears the pineapple must be candy, he said they’re sweet and crunchy, they couldn’t be “good food” lol.

Wyatt’s favorite was the apple cinnamon, Cassie’s was the peach, and Shelby’s was the strawberry, which I thought would make ordering more difficult, but Today’s Farm has a variety case with all 4 flavors so everyone will feel like they got their pick. You can’t beat that!
