I ended up buying the Eureka Pet Pal Bagless Vacuum yesterday and I’m not sure if I like it or if I wasted $80! Last month my “real” vacuum broke and I’ve been using a hand-vac to vacuum with. Even though they look clean, I knew my carpets were dirty, because hand-vacs were only meant to spot clean, they’re not good enough to thoroughly clean carpet. I still feel like the Eureka vacuum I bought should be doing a better job.

The Pet Pal Bagless upright is ideal for cleaning up after pets. This full-size upright is light weight has 12-amps of power. Attack pet hair throughout the home with the Telescopic Self-Cleaning Duster, Pet Power Paw and Pet Upholstery Brush. The no-tip design, flip bottom dust cup, multiple height adjustment and an extra long wand with crevice tool for above floor cleaning make this the purrfect cleaner for homes with pets. With the Pet Pal Bagless from Eureka you will love your pets, not the hair they leave behind!

  • Pet Power Paw stair and upholstery brush
  • Upholstery and dusting brush, extension wand and crevice tool
  • Deluxe 3:1 wire reinforced stretch hose
  • Washable hypoallergenic filtration captures ragweed, pollen, dust mites and other allergens
  • 5 position height adjustment for high pile carpeting to bare floors
  • Telescopic self-cleaning electrostatically-charged duster reaches up to 3 feet
  • Easy to empty bottom dump dust cup
  • Large 15” brushroll
  • Extra long 30′ power cord with easy cord release
  • Scuff-resistant furniture guard
  • Lightweight 16 pound design
  • Powerful 12-amp motor
  • I’m mostly frustrated with it because the filter gets clogged so quickly! My living room is tiny, if I had to guess I’d say it’s 12′ x 20′… tiny! And I had to empty the vacuum 4 times before I could finish vacuuming. It would have been different if the canister was full, but it would only have about 3/4″ of dirt in it and I’d have to take it outside and tap the filter against the ground to get all the dirt out. If I didn’t it would blow dust all over the place. It’s so aggravating! And because of the dirt/dust in the air, Logan had a pretty bad asthma attack last night. Vacuuming is supposed to help with his asthma, not make it worse!!!

It’s possible that my carpet had just accumulated that much dirt/dust in it since my old vacuum died, so I’m trying to be patient and give it a chance, and not take the stupid thing back right now.

I’m also pretty upset with because the main reason I bought it was it has the “Pet Power Paw stair and upholstery brush” but it doesn’t even suck hard enough to spin the roller in the brush, so it’s useless! I washed out the filter and I’m going to try the brush again after it dries, but at this point I’m not all that hopeful.

I do like the telescopic duster. It’s not much different than my regular duster, but it’s set up so if you push a little lever the vacuum cleans it off for you… very nice! I have no desire to touch any cobwebs or more dust than I have to lol.

It also claims to have a large 15” brushroll, an extra long 30′ power cord, and scuff-resistant furniture guard, but they all seem pretty standard features to me.

Right now I know this sounds like a negative review, but after the filter has been cleaned out it really does do a good job cleaning the carpet, it’s just not spectacular. I’m going to give it some more time and see how it does before deciding if I love it, or it’s junk…

I was thinking of purchasing this vacuum … now that you have had it for nine months, what’s the verdict?

I posted an updated review here: http://blog.christyscreations.com/eureka-pet-pal-bagless-vacuum-review/ but after using it more after that I’ve decided it’s absolutely junk! I replaced it with this one in April: http://www.amazon.com/Dirt-Devil-M085590-Featherlite-Upright/dp/B000N1XPG2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1276997873&sr=1-1 and am much happier with it. It was half the price and works so much better!!!
