EcoStore USA is an extension of a 20 year old New Zealand company www.ecostore.co.nz that makes plant based, non-toxic Household Cleaning, Baby and Personal Care Products that contain No Nasty Chemicals(tm). EcoStore USA is an e-commerce site that has launched at all 186 MEIJER grocery stores and always offers free shipping on orders of $25 and more from their website.

Vanilla Shampoo

An alluring combination of eco science and aromatherapy our Vanilla Shampoo is nourishing for the scalp. This is an excellent product for chemically treated hair. (6.8 fluid ounces)

Ingredients: Water, Lauryl-glucoside, Derivatives from coconut and palm oil – olefin sulphonate, Laureth-2, Polyol Coconut Fatty Acid Ester, Sodium Hydroxymethyl Glycinate, Citric Acid, Certified Organic Cider Vinegar, Essential oils of Pure Vanilla CO2, Ylang Ylang, Rosewood, Cananga and HoSho.

Auto Dish Powder

Auto Dish Powder is a high performance blend of simple mineral salts, citrus and Coconut oils. Stuck on food and grease won’t stand a chance when it comes to the NO NASTY CHEMICAL products from EcoStore USA.

Ingredients: Palm and coconut based non-ionic surfactants, Silicates and carbonates including sodium meta silicate (simple mineral salts), Citrates and natural citrus oil, Cellulose (plant based), Fatty acid derivative

My Thoughts?

When EcoStore USA asked if I’d be interested in doing a review, it was a no-brainer! I’m an eco-friendly mom, so I’m always interested in trying eco-friendly products. 90% of the time I clean with baking soda and vinegar, but for some reason I fall short when it comes to dishes or laundry. I hadn’t found a natural product that got the job done to my satisfaction, but it never hurts to try something new. So I chose to review the Auto Dish Powder and started to pick the Laundry Powder as well. Then I saw Vanilla Shampoo, and while I’m a complete shampoo snob, I just had to try the vanilla!

So they came, and the timing was perfect, in fact, I was in my robe on my way to the shower and Lucas went out and got the box from the delivery truck for me. I grabbed the shampoo bottle out of the box and headed off to the bathroom. The first thing I noticed is how true the vanilla scent is. It’s not overpowering, and it doesn’t affect my allergies, but it’s strong enough that I get little wafts throughout the day. Secondly, it makes my hair and scalp feel as clean as my Pantene did. I worried at first because it doesn’t bubble and suds up like my old shampoo, but it’s every bit as good. And after my hair dries it feels soft and flowy instead of coarse and heavy like it usually does.

And the Auto Dish Powder?

Well, it actually works. My dishes are clean, even the kids’ spaghetti plates that I let sit in the sink overnight without being rinsed off… they came clean! Other products I’ve tried have left a film on my plates, spots on my glasses, or even clumps of cleaner still in the soap tray, but I have no complaints with the Auto Dish Powder from EcoStore USA, not a single one. The only way it could perform better would be to load the dishwasher for me, and I just don’t think that’s going to happen lol.
