Common Sense
I read a post on a (sorta) local classifieds website earlier that really annoyed me. A woman was complaining that she got taken advantage of by the Avesil company. Apparently she didn’t read the fine print, so she didn’t call customer service to cancel her subscription or send the bottle back, then she got charged $90 for the bottle she used and an additional $90 for the new bottle they sent her. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes when I read it. I mean seriously, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is, and if you don’t read the fine print, it’s your own fault, no matter how much it sucks! I felt bad that she got ripped off, but it really seems like she opened the door for it. I just don’t understand why people think they’re going to get a product that sells for $90 without any strings attached. Argh!
