My camera died Christmas morning. I was very upset, but I still had my old Kodak as a backup, so Christmas wasn’t completely ruined or anything. Well, my old Kodak is cranky and sometimes just won’t turn on, sometimes the lens won’t extend, and sometimes it turns on but won’t turn off until you remove the batteries (then you have to turn it off and on until the lens retracts). It’s obviously not great, but once it’s finally working it takes pretty decent pictures, and I’ve been using it for a couple months now without complaining too awful much.

I was really hoping to use some of our income tax refund to get a new one because I take pictures ALL the time, but then Colby got laid off and our income tax refund had to be used to pay bills. So last week he finally got to started doing some handyman type jobs and since we still had part of our income tax refund and he’s working again, he wanted me to go ahead and get a new camera.

I looked at a few, but just couldn’t make myself spend the money to buy one. I had almost talked myself into getting a Polariod one when Woot had it for $60, but I forgot about it before the day was up and with Woot at midnight a new deal goes up and you missed out on the previous day’s deal. It wasn’t what I really wanted so I told Colby that I was just going to wait for a while and keep using my Kodak.

Then last night he went to Wal-Mart to exchange his cell phone and when he came home he said if he’d have had the debit card with him he’d have bought me a new camera. We talked about it off and on all night last night and looked up reviews on the camera he’d been looking at and I finally agreed to go ahead and get it. I must admit I’m a little nausious right now, I can’t believe I agreed to spend $200 on a camera, but I can’t wait for him to get home so I can start playing with it! I just hope it’s as good as the reviews say it is!!!

Now, hopefully, I can go back to putting cute pictures with my posts and catching all the crazy and fun things my rugrats do. Oh, and my website needs new product pictures badly, which I hadn’t had the motivation to do, so I have set a goal to get started on them this week. Hopefully I can get new pictures of one product each day, and if anyone has any pointers for doing so, I’d love to hear them!
