Yesterday Colby decided to build me a real chicken coop. He never finished the one he started in the Spring and it was only intended for hatchlings anyway, so on to plan B. It’s relatively small, I don’t want to keep a lot of chickens, half a dozen at the most, so the building is 4′ x 6′ and the yard is 4′ x 9′ and will be easy to add on to the back of the yard if I decide I want more come Spring again.
