A couple weeks ago I had a Fairy Godmother Academy Giveaway for a Hello Dreamer Party Pack that included a copy of Birdie’s Book, the first book in the Fairy Godmother Academy series. Well, my girls also received goodies to have a party of their own, which was a lot of fun for them, and now they’ve read the book and are going to do a review for ya’ll.
About Birdie’s Book:
Birdie Cramer Bright knows practically everything there is to know about plants. Too bad she is stuck moving with her straightlaced mom to New York City.
But, when twelve year-old Birdie goes to meet her grandmother, who is estranged from Birdie’s mom, a crazy dresser, a loud singer, and, just like Birdie, a lover of the green world, Birdie learns a secret which leads to fantastic adventures, new understandings, and a renewed closeness among members of her family.
I’m a little excited for them to be doing this review. I mean, they always give their opinion on the items I review, but they’ve never completely taken over a review before. This one is all them!
I asked Cassie if she was going to tell a friend about Birdie’s Book, what would she say…
Birdie’s Book is about a little girl named Birdie who goes to her grandma’s house. Her grandma showed her the room she would stay in. It was the room that Birdie’s mom stayed in and was covered in posters. A couple days later her grandma takes her to the green house. Birdie saw a nest with a singing stone in it.
If you want to know more read Birdie’s Book.
Then I asked Shelby if she was going to write a book report at school about Birdie’s Book, what would it say…
The book, Birdie’s Book, is a really amazing book. I really enjoyed reading it. The characters are really cool. In some ways I am like Birdie, but in some ways I am like Kerka, also. I have some of the same physical appearances as Birdie, and I love Mother Nature, too. I don’t know as much about the green world as Birdie, but I do know some. Like Kerka, I like sports, dancing, and I am a fast walker. I like the whole fairies, talking flowers, river maiden, magical thing, but I got kind of creeped otu by the whole shadowland stuff. But that’s okay because I like mysterious things like that. All-in-all, it was a really, really good book, and I can’t wait for Kerka’s book to come out in December. I bet it will be as good as Birdie’s Book.

Your girls did a great job on the review. Judging by their enthusiasm as well as the story line, I’m certain may youn g girls will read Birdie’s Book.

That sounds like a good book
I have seen this book before and it looks great. I wanted to get it but I realized that I don’t have any girls in my family that are the right age to read this. It is one that I’m going to remember though.
