As a way of saying “Thanks a Million” to their loyal customers over all these years, Banquet is giving away more than $1 million worth of redeemable cash prizes this February through April. Beginning February 8, look for Banquet frozen dinner meals with the “Thanks a Million” logo on the box. Each of these specially-marked packages will contain a special game piece, either one of over 16,000 redeemable cash prizes worth anywhere from $10 to $100,000, or a Banquet coupon. What’s better than that? A quick dinner on the table in minutes and a chance to find the equivalent of the “Willy Wonka” golden ticket!

My Dad is a really picky eater and when I was a kid we would often eat Banquet Dinners for supper so he could have what he wanted and Mom and I could have something different… well, that and Mom didn’t much like to cook. By the time I was a teen I hated “TV dinners” lol, and Grandma’s home cooking was always so much better! At least that’s what I thought :) Then when I got married my cooking skills were less than fabulous and Colby and I started eating Banquet Dinners lol! They were so easy to fix and perfect for a newlywed teen’s budget.

Well, now fast-forward… um… a lot of years and we still eat Banquet Dinners. I no longer buy the little individual trays, I buy the Family Entrées instead, but they’re the same food and so much easier than cooking from scratch! The kids love the Turkey & Gravy and we probably eat it once a week! And when Shelby goes off to college in a few years (excuse me while I go cry a few minutes) I know I won’t have to worry about her cooking for herself because she’ll be able to pick up Banquet Dinners and carry on a tradition my Mom inadvertently started.

I wrote this post while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Banquet and received a sample to facilitate my candid post. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

My dh loves Banquet pot pies. I usually keep a couple in the freezer on reserve in case he gets the munchies and needs a snack (or I don’t feel like cooking!). I’ve entered the contest online a few times – haven’t won yet though!
