Until this weekend, I hadn’t gone and done anything fun without Colby or the kids since Colby and I moved in together, in 1995!!! That’s right! 15 years! So, this weekend I decided that Shelby was old enough to watch her siblings at night and went to Ozark Outdoors to watch the Bull Float concerts. Friday night Trisha and I went, and had so much fun that we went back Saturday night with Denyal and Wendy!
Saturday we went to the MMOR Mud Run at Bass’ and had a blast! We sat really close to the track and miraculously only had one truck throw mud on us, which of course had the kids dying to play in it. So, when the trucks were all finished I let them go wild…
Yes, I really let my kids cover themselves from head to toe in mud. Lucas and Logan did anyway. The others waded and climbed around, but they didn’t have clothes to change into and didn’t want to ride home in their undies, so they only got muddy what they could wash off in the creek lol.
If you read my Dora, Diego, and Me! review, you know we’re huge fans of Kideo, and in celebration of Dora’s 10th anniversary, Kideo is offering $10 off any DVD ordered before September 15th…
Okay, so Tuesday Colby took off work so we could have one last summer fun day, and we went to the zoo. We had a fantastic time and I think it definitely eased ending the summer. And I have to say that if any of you make it to the St. Louis Zoo, make time for the 3-D Motion Simulator! IT ROCKED! It was a short ride, but it was so worth it.
Then we met their teachers Tuesday night. Well, part of them anyway. We didn’t make it back from the zoo in time to meet Lucas’s teacher, but he was okay with it, and I took him in this morning to meet her and he went off with a smile.
